We would like to introduce ourselves
The German company Mecklenburger Landpute GmbH (plc), located in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, was established in December 1990.
Ever since we began, our main goal has been to breed turkeys and process the poultry into our wide range of cold cuts, sausages and other poultry products.
At the beginning we processed up to 150 turkeys a week and sold them at the green market in only two display stands. We expanded rapidly and increased the number of our employees from 17 to 140.
Through this entire expansion, we always remained a traditional company with regional pride.
In 1993, we started to process our poultry exclusively at our company butcher. Since then, the fresh poultry is manufactured into cold cuts, sausages, smoked meats, convenience products and more.
From the beginning our priority has been to produce high quality meats. Great taste creates a standard for our products. A wide range of awards (e.g. from the Central marketing-company of the German Agricultural Economy (CMA), the German Agriculture Organization (DLG) and the butcher's co-operative society) and a permanent quality control attests to our efforts to offer you only the finest and freshest poultry products.
Mecklenburger Landpute has EEC permission (ESG, EZG, EVG 248).
We offer around 100 different kinds of turkey products.
All these products are sold in our company stores at the green markets and to bulk purchasers like hospitals, nursing homes, hotels, the military and restaurants.
We only offer poultry products from our own manufacturer. Partnership marketing is our goal.
Since 1994, we've given young people the opportunity to learn a profession within our company and to achieve/earn an Associate Degree in various fields. So far, 38 students have achieved their degrees.
We are always looking forward to participating each year at various trade fairs like the IGW in Berlin and the MELA in Mühlengeez.
Offering a party service since the year 2000 is not enough for us, you can also enjoy our events in our restored old fashion granary, named Landputenspeicher. One of our biggest attractions are the Putenparties (Turkey Parties.)
In January 2002, we successfully branched out. Our cage free poultry and the manufacturing of organic products are another big challenge for our company. We invested large amounts to obtain a rewarding position in this new field as well as to create more places of employment for
